“Joey was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in December of 2014, just 3 days shy of Christmas. Unfortunately that year, we spent Christmas in the hospital. Child Life did such an AMAZING job of making sure all the children there had the best Christmas they possibly could. Joey and I spent pretty much every holiday in the hospital and the outpour of love that Stony Brook offered us was nothing short of amazing. Joey’s final holiday there was Easter and he gained his wings in April 2016.”
A toy drive was started in Joey’s honor and all proceeds and toys are donated to the local hospital to ensure that all children have a smile on their face on Christmas morning. Santa even personally hand delivers them. 🎅🏻❤️
If you would like to donate and do not live locally, you can do so at your own local hospital. Please make sure these are new, unwrapped items. Donations locally will be dropped off on 12/15 so you can bring toys to our office until then! @ Innovative Field Services
